Lefthanders Gun Club (LGC) is an outdoor firing range that is open to the public. Located at 9364 Rhea Park, Loami IL 62661 the range hosts various USPSA and other clubs as part of its member’s involvement. In 2019 the organized shooting element of the LGC branched off to form the Capital Area Pratical Shooters (CAPS). It is the CAPS group that has gone on to host the regular USPSA events at LGC.
Matches
Some matches offered by range members at LGC include:
USPSA
- Setup is the 1st Saturday of each month, with formal shoot thereafter or the following day (Sunday), pending weather
- Hosted by Capital Area Pratical Shooters (C.A.P.S.)
- Setup starts at 8am and goes until 11am. Those who help set up have the option of shooting the match immediately thereafter.
- Sunday registration begins at 8am with shooting immediately after
- Typically hosts a USPSA Pistol Match with 6 Stages requiring approximately 140 rounds minimum w/ classifier.
- Cost to a build match $10. Those that build Saturday may return Sunday and reshoot one time for $5.
- No competitor squads for Saturday, so if you want to shoot Saturday please help build
