Debuted in 2012, Crye Precision released its Adaptive Vest System, or AVS, to offer the military a scalable system that could range from low-profile carrier to full assault configurations. Eventually, the AVS would go on to replace the Modular Body Armor Vest system and become the premiere armor system for military special forces.
