When shooting steel, there is a restriction on caliber, muzzle velocity and type of bullet. There are no restrictions with paper. There is more info on all of this below – MAKE SURE YOU READ IT
Zeroing should be relegated to the 200-yard range. There is a fixed target frame at 100 meters (not yards) so it’s perfect to verify zero for AK’s. Then there are the mobile frames and another fixed frame at 200 yards.
Ammo restrictions:
There are caliber, muzzle energy, and bullet type restrictions on our steel. No armor-piercing, green tip, or steel core. No large magnum calibers over .30 caliber and no more than 3,000 ft/pounds of energy at the muzzle. On our 3-gun course, we don’t allow buckshot, slugs, or AP rounds. Bi-metal bullets like those that Tula loads are okay. We don’t really have a caliber restriction on the 3-gun course so we take it on a case by case basis. We don’t allow rounds like the .22 TCM because they crater the steel pretty bad. You can shoot the paper targets with the plywood backing with anything you want.”
NO 7N6 OR STEEL CORE/TIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
